Tech facts:

For comparison: A system with 1 kWp located in germany produces approx. 800 kilowatthours (kWh) per year and consumes approx. 9 m2 area.

This is equivalent to the consumption of a four person household.

The Schauenburg photovoltaic system produces over 400 kWp.

 

 

 

The SCHAUENBURG Group is going green

The SCHAUENBURG Group has started its own photovoltaic project: the systems cover an area of 2,642 m2 and will produce approx. 333,000 kilowatthours per year.


The sun offers us all a free source of energy which is more over unlimited and environmentally sound.

Using the maximum output of the sun makes solar energy efficient. With steadily increasing energy prices, producing electricity by combining the sun with photovoltaic systems becomes a viable option. These systems produce neither noise nor emissions and make the user independent of other sources of energy.

Even with little sunlight, the photovoltaic systems convert light into energy. Going green with photovoltaic systems also helps to reduce CO2.

The SCHAUENBURG Group has started its own photovoltaic project and has put into operation four photovoltaic systems at the beginning of May on the roofs of its headquarter in Mülheim an der Ruhr (Germany). The systems cover an area of 2,642 m2 and will produce approx. 333,000 kilowatthours per year. This equals the average energy consumption of 90 households. Furthermore, CO2 emissions are reduced by 233 metric tons per year.

Another location near Frankfurt has installed photovoltaic systems on its roofs which cover 1,654 m2 and will produce approx. 227,800 kilowatthours per year. This equals the average energy consumption of 60 households. Furthermore, CO2 emissions are reduced by 160 metric tons per year.

This clean power concept will be expanded and further photovoltaic systems will be built at our production facilities worldwide.
